Wassup wassup

Last sat... a star was born.... so OGY said... MILA became the 1st female winner for Akademi Fantasia. The fifth season winner is only 19 years old but managed to rock the house down. From the start, she was the under dog, having the tone but lacking control and being flat, always coming in last at the beginning of every concert. However for the part few weeks, she had been constantly good and had proven that the public has been under estimating her. In the end, a good ranged ballad and soulful performance made everyone realize that this girl was indeed worth to be crowned the 1st Female and probably last winner of the show. (Rumours has it AF is gonna be stopped).

Her 2nd song for the evening was a gamble for her and half way I thought, darn... she didnt gave her all... and again.... I underestimated her... coz she knew how to make the audience wanted more... and she gave it... wif a change of husky yelling rock voice but with good control and pace... that it made the whole stadium stood up clapping and screaming her name. As one of the judges said.... for those thats watching football tonite... was a loss for you all... It was a show not to be missed. And my RM30 worth of SMS.... rightfully made a young girl dreams came true. And you know.. she deserves every bit of the recognition.

Ebi came in second. Obviously the sms-es based on looks and not vocal skills. The pre-planned jumping off and on the stage was not sumthing to be proud of.

Vocally Aswad who came in 3rd was the strongest among the guys tho lack of star quality and dancing grooves makes him look rather goofy. Heliza made fourth. Probably due to the very boring songs she were given. Candy made it fifth. This girl hav been consistent from the beginning and had always been acknowledge by the judges as being the best performer. I was even hoping for AF to give her a best student award or sumthing... but alas... they didnt. And perhaps she's the next best deserving winner....and should hav gotten the vios... :(

THE RESULTS
AF5 CHAMPION - Mila 32% (800,000 SMS votes)

MIRACLE CHALLENGE

Fitness First came up with another miracle challenge for the launch comng up mid June. This time, they are introducing back the tribe challenge. 3-5 members will volunteer to do the launch with an instructor. Which means they need to practice the instructor side version of the new releases. And wats even weirder is that they've got only 1-2 weeks to form a team, practice and go for the audition. Its really ludicrous. I have to say that the FF event management sucks at doing this kind of stuff. They really need to be focus on their objectives and plan ahead. They should hav separated the tribe challenge and the launch, instead of fuse-ing into one event. They'll be judges and prizes. However none of the prizes were mentioned in the entry form. Also,... when u initial the form, it says u volunteerily will do it.... HA HA HA...

So so anyway.... for those who have done BODYJAM41 and thinking of doing the launch... heres some comments from me.

1. The warm up is pretty nice. Will show how good the instructor at giving direction but members will lose out on performance.

2. The First Block has a set of nice movements, the arms and pop and head turn needs to be really sharp and hip hoppy. Timing is crucial. Technically challenging. With the given amount of time, pls reconsider of doing this track. However, if u hav the long limbs and speed. By all means... this is the track for you.

3. Latin. This will be the favourite for people to choose, because its easy. Wavy. With the style and grace that will certainly be a crowd pleaser. However,.... the moves are a bit repetitive and theres nothing much the instructor can do as the moves are limited. The instructor will need more work in giving technical queues. I've alreadi have some in mind. Members on the other hand hav to be graceful and make it very performance. Remember the glitters last year... sumthin like that....

4. Trash Jam. Forgot abt tis one til colin reminded me. Hmm.. let me think. This track is pretty alrite and fun to do. Not very technical but very cardio. For those stamina and strong ppl. Pick this one. Good for the instructors to give instructions also. Doesnt leave much room for extra choreographing and extra moves. But definitely a track to think about..

5. Recovery. Hmm... Its a nice short track. No comments on this one. Probably advised for ppl who wanna take part but dont hav the time to practice. If you got the beat and wanna enjoy the launch by taking part. This is the one to do.

6. and last but not the least... the 2nd block. This one is a bit tricky... It gives the instructor oppurtuities to psych up the audience. movements are hot and leaves room to add additional style. However, it might not be as simple as it looks. Technique again is important and practice is needed. Given enough time, this will be the one I pick. In terms of choreography, nothing much can be change..... hmm... need time to think on it.

SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE.

Yesterday Jimmy got into the bottom four. I was surprise.Fox Trot is certainly not what Jimmy is used to, but I think he managed to pull it off. I did see the face expression and tho very tense..(thats his style by the way).. he took the stage effortlessly. But when it got to the sms, no doubt Jimmy having being a fitness dance instructor and a whole lot of friends and supporters saved him. He he.... yours truly kept sending sms... (52 times.. *wah!) .. well, I personally believe it wasnt his time to go, and didnt mind showing my support. Friends that went to RUUMS were pretty emotional.

How far I think jimmy will go? Well, hip hop will be his best element and til that is being showcase... I think the judges should give him some credit for trying and showing improvements. In the end, Jimmy needs to work on his power wif the crowd. Acting class will do him good. To be in character and giving himself more personality. Notice how Dennis works the crowd, now thats a performer, someone who performs. Thats how it gotta be. But from what I've seen of Jimmy on stage. He is superb as a dancer and I wouldnt be surprise if he can make it to the finals. Actually even jimmy's final dance wasnt at par wif wat he normally does. But heck, after all its a reality TV show. U need to hav looks and be appealing. U need to awe the voters.

On the other hand Vish was a let down(again). The dance required mostly core movements which I felt he did not deliver. Watch again the show if u dont believe me. But I suppose the judges are keeping him for commercial reasons.

Chris lack of grace made him into the bottom four as well and was the guy to get the boot. I did love his final dance tho... concise and a crowd pleaser.

just a few updates

here's just a few updates on the stuffs thats been happening around me.

1. Media exposure of Mens Health has open a few new doors and inquiries about further more media exposures. So seemed that I need to take good care of my physiques and looks for the moment. The throat infection holding me back at the gym but I'm determine to buff up once again.

2. The Mens Health Modules are coming to an end. Its been fun. Especially the Defensive Driving Course that I attended. I've also dived into the Bioterm regime and also changed my shampoo(finallly!). Decided to spend (so much) more on my shampoo and gel. Hopefully by scalp allergy and problem disseapears.

3. Miss my kareoke sessions. Stupid Throat.

4. Attended Cheryl Bjam class in Axis yesterday. Boy.. that gurl still have a long way to go. Cant even make the choreo correct. Not even the simplest song.

5. Gino passed bpump instructorship. I think Ben is on his way to becoming a good balance instructor. Nick Heng is taking on Bjam. Mike didnt attend Bstep training. I think Prudent gave it a missed too. Leo is the new Master Training for Bjam. Yehaaa..... hmm... hope she rests more these days.. (but who am I to say!! -sick boy but still go gym).

6. There were some rumours about a Fitness First Tribe Challenge. So quickly a few groups were formed, but no 'real' news so far... hmm.... been thinking of some excellent combo choreos alreadi.. he he ...

7. Jimmy is doing well in 'SO U THINK U CAN DANCE'. The whole gym seems to be supporting. YEHAA... honestly think he will go far. Far enuff to the finals. :D

8. Heading to Cherating and Redang soonn..... he he... I so need to recover fast. Darn it. !!!

Buying lettuce, coral salad, cherry tomatoes, raisins, cheese, eggs over the weekend to make my own garden salad. Yum yum.. the italian and thousand island dressing making it sinful tho... Making a point to purchase and eat fruits everytime I go to the foodcourt in section14. Cutting down on oily food, drinking more plain water. Not forsaking my suppliments. Taking more vitamin B, aside from the normal C, E, Spirulina,Proviton & Omega Fish Oil.
