The making of..... HUSH PUPPIES ... Infomercial

Kazaf asked me to go for auditioning for the Hush Puppies infomercial(short story advertisement), and so I did. Weeks later, he told me I got it.. he he.. the pay wasn't much, it was only RM500 and RM200 of vouchers from Hush Puppies. I sort of dragged Anita daughter in the commercial shoot as well. She got RM350 and Rm150 worth of voucher. So here was how the shooting when ...(I cant disclose the storyboard or post the commercial up on the web until its been aired on television, so .. be patient... u'll get to see it during Hari Raya this yr on ASTRO. :D

DAY 1:

Woke up early and was there at the production house by 6am. Waited for about 1 and half hour before leaving for the shoot location. There was suppose to be three of us. 2 Caucasion, but the Ah Mo gal fong gei gei on us. Kazaf and Karen then had to scout around Central Market area to find a caucasion to fit the role. And they did. A good sport and pretty too I might add. :D

Kazaf & Sharon

Sharon was in a transit to Bali. She landed around 5am and has to catch the next SIA flight to Bali. and in between.. she got to be in an infomercial. How cool is that? She slipped into Karens red shirt and my jeans.. got her make up.. and she was ready to go..

The cameraman setting up the pace for the motion

Kazaf & Osman

Karen was an intern with the production house.

The camera-mans made sure everything was perfect.

Andre(from Histonia.. I think) was the first one to go for Make up.

Done... all nice and pretty.. ha ..ha

The sun came up around 9am and it was time to begin the shooting.

The Director Shelley was telling me, Sharon & Andre how the scene was going to be like.

Arrr... didnt think shootings can be so hurtful.. ha ha

Group effort. Sharon was amazing in this scene, too bad it got cut out.

Hello... anyone there?

We had to take this shot like 10 times... me and Andre were exhausted

Argh finally... his part was done..

Fanny had to ensure everyone still looked nice.

This scene was complicated. Did it like 20 times. Involved a lot of movement and timing...

Karen, Sharon & Howie

 Shelley & Sharon

It was around 2pm then. we bid our farewell to Sharon and headed back to the production house for the next scene.

The other talents were all there... dressed up

Anita, daughter and friends were there too...

The crew was all set, making the place looked nice.

I spent some time to get to know everyone, ... err.. it then rained.. so we couldnt continue with the next scene. Everyone was sent home and was ask to come back the following day. I stayed on to do this scene.

Another round of make up...

This scene was short and simple.

By this time, I was really exhausted as it has been a long day.

With all that effort, this scene didnt even turned up in the infomercial.

Everyone was busy going about their own work

I was relieved and took the oppurtunity to take pics wif the great team.

That was the end of day 1. The next day... I had to be in the production house again by 6am. We all got out make up done and were driven to our next location. Shooting started at 9am again. Lightings were crucial. We had to do the scene only with the correct amount of sun.

The cloudy day made the shooting rather difficult

We took breaks once in a while when its cloudy.

Luckily the talents were good taken care of.. he he :D
