CONVOCATION CEREMONY
8-13 August 2006 |

The 3rd section
of the convocation ceremony was on the 9th August 2006. It starts at 0900 which means I need
to be in the march by 0730. Which means I need to wake up at 0545
and be ready to leave the apartment by 0630. So sleepy I was. |
|

I got to UM early, think I was there by 0645. Waited around 15 minutes
at the Dewan Tunku Canselor, caused it was still closed. Then found
out that I was at wrong building, was suppose to go to the other
building and gather with all the other scholars... Ha Ha... thats what
happens when u dont attend ur graduation rehearsal the weekend
before.. he he :D. Oh, also realize I didnt hav my marching number the
nite before, a call to dad got that problem solved.

So heck,.. I skid over to the
Dewan Peperiksaan, stopped by a loo and got dressed in my suit &
robe. The sweat began to flow... When I got to the hall... it
was till empty, and it was then around 0710 already.. people
were relunctant to enter the empty hall, but I was already wet
by then, needed aircond badly.... hence I entered. The first one
to be in. Yeahhhh.... the others follow suit and started to
dressed up. |

one in! - The Clock reads 0715. |
I was all
set.... the others were still struggling with their robes. |

just made a few adjustments here n there. |
The hall was
jammed with people within the next few minutes. |

We got into our
lines. I was number 581 ... it was noisy.. |
... think there
was like >800 scholars that day. |

|
.. and so
we marched all the way to the graduation Hall |
 |
|
15 minutes
later, all of us were seated in the hall... |
|
 |
|
The
stairwell was a bit jammed up at the time. |
 |
|
Its new,
the old one was burnt down a few years back. |
|
|
We had to wait patiently waiting for the ceremony to begin |
|
 |

|
Grew bored
and started taking pictures of myself. |
|

The Pro-Canselor came in and got the ceremony on
its way. |

The ceremony started, there were a few speeches
and the cert
were given out. It was a long wait. |
|
Braided my hat,
so that the strings stayed in place.. :D |

580 scrolls later,
it was my turn... I got mine... :D
My shoe lace came off on stage and I nearly tripped and fell ! |
We sang the
University song. That ended the ceremony. |
