I was last in Thailand only six months back, in Jun 06. But my last trip to Bangkok was late last year. So its been a year ever since I stepped foot on sawadeekap land. The new Bangkok airport was huge. Suvarnabhumi International airport was situated far away from the city, (sumthing like KLIA from KL), and the only way of getting to the city was by metered taxi. Which wasnt very expensive, just need to pay 50Baht(RM5) extra which i think was very reasonable. The Taxi queue was rather long but it was fast, in no time, we were heading to the hotel on the passenger-paid tol highway.

    Suvarnabhumi Airport

The new airport looks enormous and incomplete. The structure was awesome tho the square
concrete pillar made it look like an cheap. Huge it was like an aeroplane hanger.

The entire airport looks like a giant catterpillar. The cylindrical roofs made it unique.

The entire airport exterior were mainly glass and huge steel beams.

There seems to be a small forest in the middle of the airport. wonder where they got that weird idea from?

We got out of the imigration easily. See how huge the structure was...

Me & Michael amazed. actually not by the airport but how long the taxi queue was.. ha ha

It was quick tho. Moments later we were off to our hotel.
